Following on from our post on Byzantine and Dragonscale chainmaille weaves, I thought a quick detour into a Byzantine variant might be interesting: the Romanov weave. This basically takes individual units of byzantine maille and joins them around a stone, to make a sort of halo. The below are a few examples:
